Baku-APA. U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday paid condolences to the families and friends of the 152 people killed in a plane crash in Pakistan, APA reports quoting news.xinhuanet.com website.
"I extend my deepest condolences to the families and friends of all who died in today’s tragic crash of Air Blue flight ED202 near Islamabad," Obama said in a White House statement, also noting that two American citizens were among the dead.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those touched by this horrible accident. The American people stand with the people of Pakistan in this moment of tragedy," Obama said.
A plane of a Pakistani private airliner on Wednesday crashed into the Margalla Hills in the Pakistani capital Islamabad and killed all 152 aboard.
