One of the regions faced with genocide tragedy is Guba town and nearby villages. 122 villages were completely destroyed in a genocide committed in Guba in April-May, 1918. Alongside with Azerbaijani people, Lezgins, Jews, Tats and other ethnic minorities were cruelly killed and faces with violence.
The Genocide Memorial on the mass grave in Guba, home of restless spirits of victims of bloody genocide, will be built to inform the world community about the crimes of Armenian nationalists, to memorize genocide victims and to save national memory of young generations”, said the Foundation’s statement.
