APA - Azerbaijan sees rise in oil pumping

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-ECONOMICS. In total 4 million tons of oil was pumped through Azerbaijan’s network of trunk pipelines in January, up 8.1% from a year ago.

The State Statistical Committee said the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline (BTC) took 3/4 of oil transportation, pumping 3 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan to world markets. Oil, pumped with BTC rose by 11.1% in January.

Azerbaijani oil is pumped by three pipes, including BTC, Baku-Novorossiysk and Baku-Supsa.
