Azerbaijan specifies number of candidates to participate in local elections

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. 31,861 candidates will participate in the local elections in Azerbaijan on December 23, APA reports quoting the official website of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
They have been nominated for 15,682 seats in 1718 municipalities. 16,020 of the candidates received higher education, 166 incomplete higher education, 8938 secondary education, 6737 vocational education. 6222 women will participate in the elections.
14,647 have put forward their candidacies themselves, 147 have been nominated by the initiative groups. 15,388 have been nominated by the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, 120 by Motherland Party, 223 by Civil Solidarity Party, 125 by Musavat, 76 by Democratic Azerbaijan World Party, 375 by Umid Party, 7 by Communist Party, 4 by Azerbaijan Patriots Party, 8 by Social Welfare Party, 1 by Social Democratic Party, 4 by Liberal Democratic Party, 22 by Modern Musavat Party, 72 by Democratic Reforms Party, 238 by United Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, 385 by Great Establishment Party, 31 by Citizen Unity Party, 1 by Citizen and Development Party, 10 by National Democratic Party.
17,688 of the candidates are members of YAP, 35 of AMIP, 292 of Motherland Party, 306 of Civil Solidarity Party, 130 of Musavat, 134 of DADP, 3 of AYP, 348 of Umid, 74 of AKP, 1 of AMDP, 16 of AVP, 1 of ADSP, 164 of ASRP, 5 of ALP, 2 of ASDP, 38 of AXCP, 8 of Unity, 4 of ALDP, 26 of ADP, 28 of Justice, 2 of MVP, 31 of MMP, 1 of Progress, 75 of ADISP, 264 of BAXCP, 381 of BGP, 17 of VBP, 39 of KXCP, 25 of VIP, 10 of National Democratic Party. 11,331 candidates are non-party men, 382 of the candidates have not shown their political affiliation.
The candidacies of 35,076 were confirmed in connection with the local elections. The election constituencies refused to register 3215 candidates because of various reasons.
