Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. If the liberation of occupied Azerbaijani lands by the military way is obscured, then, undoubtedly, draft law on alternative service will be put to vote at the parliament, Chief of the Parliament Administration Safa Mirzayev said, APA reports.
He said the draft law was discussed currently with the Council of Europe experts. “We sent the draft to the Council of Europe. They reviewed it and sent back. Now we are working on the document. We would like to gather the working group at the beginning of next year again to discuss it”.
Regarding the sending of draft law to the parliament, Mirzayev said it would depend on the negotiations over the Nagorno Karabakh problem. “If there is positive progress in the negotiations over the Nagorno Karabakh problem, and military solution to the conflict is obscured, then, undoubtedly, the draft law will be put to vote at the parliament. But defense sources are against this draft law. They consider that it is early to adopt this law while the country is at war”.
