Department head of Baku Health Office: No need to wear respiratory masks against swine flu in Baku

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA. There is no need to wear respiratory masks against A/H1N1 (swine flu) virus in Baku, head of acute respiratory viral infections department of Hygiene and Epidemiological Center of Baku Health Office Elmira Aliyeva said, APA reports.
According to her, there is no need to wear masks, as the air is not so polluted, virus has not spread in Baku.
“But those who can wear respiratory masks in public vehicle traffic, schools, crowded places,” she said.
Speaking about the first symptoms of the disease, Aliyeva said the swine flu does not differ from ordinary flu.
“Those who have high temperature, pains in head, muscles, dry cough, snuffles should go to the doctor. In cold seasons the cases of ordinary flu increase. Therefore, the people should develop immunity,” she said.
