APA - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev receives President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, President’s press service told APA. Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with Ramzan Kadyrov’s participation in the events in Baku and said there is a good opportunity to discuss the prospects of our relations. Appreciating the friendship between Azerbaijanis and Chechens lasting for centuries, Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan is observing the reconstruction and development in Chechnya. The head of state underlined the necessity of determining the ways for the improvement of mutual activity and economic relations between Azerbaijan and Chechnya. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that Chechnya will continue to develop under the leadership of Ramzan Kadyrov.
Ramzan Kadyrov noted that in hard times Azerbaijan granted asylum to Chechens. He expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijani President on his behalf and on behalf of the Chechen people and said Chechens will never forget it.
