Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. “Azerbaijani-Indian Relations”, the book dedicated to the history of Azerbaijani-Indian relations, establishment and development of intergovernmental relations in contemporary period, was presented on Tuesday.
Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan Devnath Show said journalist Afat Sadigoglu collected and published all documents about the Azerbaijani-Indian relations issued since the opening of Indian embassy in Baku and interviews with the Indian ambassadors, APA reports. Four Indian businessmen working in Azerbaijan sponsored the publication.
Afat Sadigolu has had a great interest to India since his childhood. He interviewed with the Indian first ambassador in Azerbaijan in 1999 and decided to publish a book about the Azerbaijani-Indian relations. “I researched cultural, economic relations between our countries and collected the facts and found out that our relations began in 10th century”. The writer is planning to publish a book about the cultural relations between Azerbaijan and India as well.
“Azerbaijani-Indian Relations” will be translated into English and published abroad.
