Baku – APA. Kanat Saudabayev has been appointed Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan. APA reports quoting Interfax that he will succeed Marat Tazhin. Tazhin has been appointed secretary of Kazakhstan’s Security Council. He will succeed Kairbek Suleymanov, who was dismissed some days ago.
The post of State Secretary, which Kanat Saudabayev had held for two years, was cancelled. As Foreign Minister he will also deal with his previous duties.
Kanat Saudabayev was Foreign Minister in 1994. Later, he was Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Turkey, UK, US and head of Prime Minister’s secretariat.
