Kommersant: Russia will pay $350 per 1000 cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas

Baku – APA. Russia will buy gas from Azerbaijan at a record price - $350 per 1000 cubic meters.
APA reports quoting the Kommersant that earlier Gazprom had bought gas at this price only from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Beginning from 2010, Russia will buy 500 million cubic meters gas from Azerbaijan per year, the volume of the gas will be increased in future. Gazprom intends to sell Azerbaijan’s gas mainly in the domestic market. This gas will be used to supply the country’s southern regions.
Azerbaijan is forecasted to have 1.5 trillion cubic meters gas resources. 28 billion cubic meters gas was produced in the country in 2007. Gazprom produces 900 million cubic meters gas per day.
