Guba – APA. Snakes, attacked the village of Almaz-gazmalar of Guba Region, Azerbaijan, created panic among the villagers for a week, APA northern bureau reports.
The snakes settled in the house of Dostuyevs’ family. Bahadir Dostuyev told APA they are living in dangerous situation. “We killed more than 100 snakes, but they continued the attack to our house. My children are in fear. We were forced to leave the house and to live in our neighbors’ houses”.
The veterinary office and epidemiological center said they had no chemicals to expel the snakes.
First deputy head of Guba Region Executive Power Yusif Abidov told APA they received reports on the fact. “We requested the Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to help to make the snakes harmless. We are expected now for the experts”.
However the snakes didn’t harm the villagers yet. Local experts said the snakes were poisonous and probably there was large nest of snakes in the village.
