Teimour Radjabov loses leadership in Grand Prix


Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. Azerbaijani players suffered failure in the 9th round of Grand prix chess tournament in Sochi, Russia.
Teimour Radjabov has lost the leadership after the defeat by Van Jue (China). Vugar Hashimov played in a draw with Ukrainian Sergey Karyakin. The encounters of Vasili Ivanchuk (Ukraine) - Ivan Cheparinov (Bulgaria), David Navara (Czech Republic) - Boris Gelfand (Israel), Mohammed Al Modiaki (Qatar) - Dmitri Jakovenko (Russia), Levon Aronian (Armenia) - Pyotr Svidler (Russia), Aleksandr Grishuk (Russia) - Gata Kamsky (USA) ended in draws as well. Cheparinov and Jue are leading the competition with 5.5 points each. Radjabov, Hashimov, Aronian, Kamsky and Ivanchuk have scored 5 points after 9 rounds. The encounters in round 10 are as follows: Gelfand - Ivanchuk, Cheparinov - Aronian, Radjabov - Navara, Grishuk - Jue, Kamsky – Jakovenko, Svidler - Karyakin, Hashimov - M.A.Modiaki.
