Azeri player close to gain world champ title


Baku. Kenan Hasanov - APA-Sport. The 11th round of world under-20 chess championship in Gazientep, Turkey, is over.
Eltaj Seferli is the only Azeri player who still has a chance to score gold medal. European and world champion defeated Alexandro Ramires (Costa Rica) in the 11th round. He is ranked the third with 8 points now. The leader advances Azeri player by a half point. Seferli is the play against Su Wesley from Philippines today. Rauf Mammedov has scored 7 points, Vasif Durarbeyli 6.5 points, Orkhan Abdulov 6 points and Bahruz Rzayev 5 points after 11 rounds.
In women’s competition Nermin Kazimova keeps chance for gold medal after scoring 7.5 points so far. Turkan Mammedyarova and Khayale Isgenderova have 6.5 and 5.5 points respectively.
