A total solar eclipse is expected to occur in August, 2017.

The solar crown will be much bigger compared to its previous sizes, Azerbaijan’s National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) said in a statement to APA.

The eclipse will last for 2 minutes 40 seconds and the lunar shadow will be 115 kilometers in width.

Only US residents will be able to watch the natural phenomenon which will cover Western Europe and South America. The next solar eclipse is expected to happen on September 2, 2035, according to ANAS.
