2,010 residential, non-residential buildings around Teze Pir mosque in Baku to be demolished


Under the Main Plan of Baku City, the Yasamal District Executive Authority is continuing the relocation and demolition of real estate in the area known as “Sovetsky”.

 

The Yasamal District Executive Authority told APA that measurements have been done in 9,814 addresses, sales and purchase agreements have been reached with the owners of 4,300 utterly dilapidated buildings in an area of 26 hectares, and they have been paid the due amounts.

 

Moreover, 4,300 buildings were demolished. Under President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions to continue the purchasing of rundown buildings in Sovetsky, relevant instructions have been given for the purchasing and demolition of real estate around the Teze Pir Mosque, between Nariman Narimanov Avenue and Ismayil bey Qutqashinly Street.

 

An initial investigation, carried out by the Yasamal District Executive Authority to fulfill the tasks given by the head of the state, revealed that there are a total of 2,010 residential and non-residential facilities, including 1,130 between Nabat Khanum Ashurbeyova, the fromer Mustafa Subhu street, Suleyman Taghizade, Abdulla Shaig and Chingiz Mustafayev streets, and 880 in the area around Nariman Narimnaov Avenue and Ismayil Bey Gutgashinli, Chingiz Mustafayev and Murzagha Aliyev streets.

 

The Yasamal District Executive Authority said that as a continuation of the work done in the first nine months of 2017 for combating illegal construction of buildings, three different buildings with area of 42, 52 and 64 sq.m which were built illegally in the western part of Qanli Gol (Bloody Lake) were demolished.
