Embassy: No Azerbaijani citizen in quake-hit Kumamoto Prefecture


Baku. Turbet Baghirova – APA. There is no Azerbaijani citizen living or studying in Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Japan tweeted on Saturday. 

 

“To the attention of Azerbaijani citizens! With regard to the earthquakes in Kumamoto Prefecture please refrain from visiting the area. According to the information of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Japan there is no Azerbaijani citizen living or studying in Kumamoto Prefecture,” says embassy.

 

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck southern Japan early on Saturday, killing at least 25 people and injuring more than 900. The quake sparked a fresh wave of destruction.
