Azerbaijan meets 14% of Georgia’s demand for fuel
In June 2017, Georgia imported 85,000 tonnes of oil products, down 0.7% from previous year.
APA-Economics reports that Georgia imported 456,700 tonnes of gasoline and diesel in the first half of 2017, up 62,600 tonnes or 13.7% from a year earlier. Last month, Georgia imported 39,000 tonnes of gasoline and 46,000 tonnes of diesel.
Most of products were imported from Romania (29,000 tonnes or 31.6% of total import).Turkmenistan exported 20,300 tonnes (23.9%), Bulgaria 11,800 tonnes (13.9%), Azerbaijan 11,700 tonnes (13.8%), Russia 9,700 tonnes (11.4%), Greece 4,400 tonnes (5.2%) and Ukraine 2,000 tonnes (0.2%).
In June Georgia imported 1,600 tonnes of bitumen.
