Tehran interested in holding trilateral meeting of Iranian, Russian, Azerbaijani presidents


Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. Iran is interested in holding a trilateral meeting of Iranian, Russian and Azerbaijani presidents in Tehran next year, RIA Novosti cited Russia's ambassador to Iran Levan Dzhagaryan as saying on Monday.

 

The date of such a meeting has not yet been discussed, noted the diplomat.  

 

Baku hosted the first meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran, Ilham Aliyev, Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rouhani, respectively, on 8 August 2016.

 

The presidents signed a declaration following the meeting.

 

In this declaration, the parties said that they will continue the comprehensive development of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, intensify and expand the political dialogue in various levels and on all issues of mutual interest, develop the trilateral format of cooperation in the spheres of culture, tourism and business.
