Ex-Bulgarian president urges Armenia to fulfill UN resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh

Armenia must fulfill the UN Security Council resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh, former Bulgarian president Rosen Plevneliev told reporters in Baku.

Plevneliev is on a visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the 5th Global Baku Forum titled “The Future of International Relations: Power and Interests” which kicked off in Baku March 16.

He noted that the only way to gain peace is respect for borders.

“Azerbaijan has the right to control its sovereign territories. Azerbaijan’s people and government have the right to emphasize the problem of double standards. Armenia must fulfill the norms of international law,” said the ex-president urging Armenia to retreat to its own lands and fulfill the UN Security Council resolutions.
