Brussels to host Eastern Partnership summit

The 5th Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit on the theme “20 Deliverables for 2020: Bringing tangible results for citizens” will be held in Brussels on Nov. 24.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will also attend the summit, an APA correspondent reported from Brussels.

A final declaration will be adopted after the summit.

The presidents of five EaP countries, except Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko, will attend the summit.

The last summit of the Eastern Partnership countries took place in Riga in 2015.

Launched in 2009 as a joint policy initiative, the Eastern Partnership aims to deepen and strengthen relations between the European Union (EU), its member states and its six Eastern neighbours: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
