Act of vandalism committed against Turkish memorial in Sevastopol

Baku – APA. Another act of vandalism has been committed in Sevastopol against a memorial to the Turkish soldiers who lost their lives during the Crimea War, Rahim Humbatov, head of the Azerbaijani community in Crimea, said in a Facebook post.

He noted that abusive words have been written on a board posted at the road leading to the memorial.

Note that, there have been similar incidents in Sevastopol before. A monument honoring the Azerbaijani soldiers who died fighting to take back Sevastopol from the German fascists was partially demolished in 2009. In 2014, a Turkish memorial was insulted. In May 2015, one more act of vandalism was committed against the memorial monument to the Azerbaijani soldiers.
