Azerbaijan bans import of poultry products from Iran

Baku. Farid Mirzeyev – APA. Azerbaijan has temporarily banned imports of poultry and poultry products from Iran due to the fact that a Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A (H5N8) Virus was recorded in two poultry farms in Tehran, according to the World Organization for Animal Health

In connection with this, import of poultry and poultry products from Iran and other areas located near the risky zone to Azerbaijan were banned upon the order of the State Veterinary Control Service. 

 

In order to import other products which are controlled by the State Veterinary Control Service, the certificate of Iranian State Veterinary Service on epizootic condition of the area from where the products are exported and health of products is required.

 

The State Veterinary Control Service recommends population to store the poultry in the closed condition.
