Azerbaijan and UNESCO to sign two agreements

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. As a part of the visit of UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova to Baku, two agreements will be signed with Azerbaijan.

APA reports quoting UNESCO that Irina Bokova attended the 2nd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. The UNESCO Director-General will meet with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev.


The two agreements - a Framework Agreement for cooperation in the areas of education, sciences, culture and communication and the Host Country Agreement concerning the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will be signed at the meetings.

 

The 8th session of this committee will be held in Baku.
