The Public Union told APA that opening the ceremony, chairman of Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Orkhan Akbarov spoke about the idea of establishing the center and task lying ahead the center. Karabakh Research Center will play an important role in informing the world community about Karabakh truths thoroughly and objectively, as well as researching the history and culture of Karabakh, an integral part of Azerbaijan, for scientists and experts, who will work in this sphere.
Our goal is to create necessary conditions for a number of local and international experts to carry out research at the center and implement projects of international importance together with scientific centers of other countries in the future. E-library, which contains all information about Karabakh, has been established and e-catalogue has been compiled to facilitate working on e-materials.
The opening ceremony was attended by state and government officials, MPs, ambassadors of foreign countries accredited in Azerbaijan, representatives of international organizations and scientific figures.
